The most recent charitable undertaking within the PCAGOE is Polymer Clay for a Cause. Angela Moore (Elementaldragons.etsy.com) of Aurora, Colorado is the person responsible for initiating this charity. Angela’s 14-year-old daughter, Courtney, passed away from muscular dystrophy. Wheelchair-bound all of her life, Cortney endured 14+ surgeries and had pneumonia over 100 times. According to her mom, “Cortney had a desire to be artistic, but we had a lot of trouble finding something she could do, so in turn she lived (artistically) through me.” Elemental Dragons was Cortney’s idea. Angela also said that Cortney grew her hair every year and cut it for Locks of Love. It’s children such as Cortney who will benefit from the Polymer Clay for a Cause store front at Etsy. All proceeds will go to a children’s charity.
